    Description

A porcelain child's bowl decorated with an assortment of animals. Yellow and turquoise lusterware shelf rim on white porcelain. In the center, a small child in a blue and black checked tassled hat and red-striped socks is feeding a puppy. Along the sides of the bowl: rabbit, goose, squirrel, cat. I have seen these bowls in my research but not this exact design. Marked on back: Union K, which is the Porcelain Union company out of Meretitz, Czechoslovakia. The bowl is also impressed with its mold # 217 and its size at 18cm. The backstamp was used from 1921 to 1939, when the war began. It is amazing to me that it has survived. No cracks or chips. Scratches on bowl and some minor loss to decorations. Fun and very cute. Measures approx. 7.25" in diameter x 1.25" deep.
I search garage sales, estate sales, auctions, and thrift stores for the items I list for sale.
    Items are thoroughly cleaned/washed.
Photographs are part of the description. There may be reflections in photos of shiny, glossy, glass items and also shadows in some due to shifts in natural light or a lack of natural light.
Artificial light can cast an amber/yellow glow upon items, esp linens.
Vintage items generally show age and some wear and I do my best to make note of any condition issues.
I will consider reasonable offers, just send me a message.
I try to ship the day item is paid for.
