Vintage Al Mar Knives #5001 Fang I Black Micarta - New

Description

This vintage Al Mar knife is just out of long-term storage and is perfect for the serious collector.
A former sales rep. sample of ours, it has never been used, carried, sharpened, or sold at retail.  It was only shown to retailers, catalog companies, etc. during our approx. 12 years as sales reps. for the Mar's in 11 Western states.
This is essentially a brand new 30-year old knife and shows the precision craftsmanship and beautiful designs Al was known for.
Al drew some terrific daggers for Gerber and AMK, but the #5001 Fang is certainly one of his best.
This is a later version with the elegant black paper Micarta scales

Tapered blade tang
Great looking contoured black paper Micarta scales with subtle thin green layers
Brass guard, pins, and lanyard tube
A former office display piece
Front grinds are slightly off-center, but this doesn't detract much from the overall eye-appeal of this knife
No box or leather.
Ships in a small flat rate priority mail box for .45.  Will combine for reduced shipping if you win more than one auction.
International postage is significantly higher and depends on destination.
