    Description

    A pair of Virginia court summons from the Horne collection in Glade Spring, Washington County, Virginia. One dated 1866 and the other 1868, consisting of legal disputes with Isaac Horne and some of his business partners, including a debt of 0 and the other for trespass, but a strange trespass relating to a minor and her guardian, possibly of a  sexual (?) nature.
    Condition as shown with wear/folds consist to the period, content is very readable.

    This is part of a large collection of historic material, including confederate related items, I will be listing from the estate of Isaac Horne (1801- 1878), who resided in Glade Spring, Washington County, Virginia, where he and his wife operated "The Stagecoach Inn," a place for food and lodging that had originally been operated by his wife's parents.
