The GenSilencer
®
is an adaptation of patented technologies from Quad Fab’s The Silent Rider
®
ATV exhaust silencer which is applied to the portable and backup generator markets.
The adaptation of our technology to these generators is an obvious improvement.
Portable generators that range up to 15,000 watts continuous power typically use the same sized (and often same) engines as the does the ATV market.
It makes sense that we would quiet the generators as effectively as the ATVs.
We have been able to adapt our technology to treat the exhaust of the portable generator.
Initial testing has shown that the overall noise levels of the generator operating under load have decreased by approximately
2-3
decibels (dB) or about 15-20%.
We take a very loud machine and take the edge off.
We have developed an adapter system that will mate to> 90% of the portable generators sold using only two SKUs.
Each SKU is a standard silencing unit with one of two available adapters.
Installation is easy.
No welding usually required, our system bolts to the face of your generator muffler.
It requires a wrench, hacksaw, and a basic power drill with a socket attachment.
We have found that installation takes no more than about 15 minutes for someone with limited mechanical skills.
If you have a tubular exhaust, our GS-112 can be trimmed and welded to that exhaust tip.
The primary value proposition for our silencer is our ability to quiet a middle to low range priced
generator.

allows the buyer to do this for less money than upgrading to the quieter model.

?

If you
have
a heatshield, measure the diameter of the heat shield hole over the exhaust port.

If the opening is 1.5 inches or less you will need part GS-112.

If the opening is between 1.5 and 2.5 inches you will need part GS-238.
If you
don't
have
a heatshield then measure the diameter of the exhaust tip or port.
-If the opening is 1.5 inches or less you will need part GS-112.
-If the opening is between 1.5 and 2.5 inches you will need part GS-238.
GenSilencer will not fit openings over 2.5 inches.
