Description
I just purchased this vintage L. Bernardaud & Co. serving / bon bon bowl from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The piece was produced by the famed Limoges porcelain works as part of their "Pak Hoi" dinnerware line which was introduced in 1972 (retired 1989). The piece is beautifully executed in bright white porcelain with crisp detail to the crimped quatrefoil border. The Chinoiserie inspired décor features floral clusters and insects in rich color and fine detail. The bowl measures 6 ½" square and 2 ¼" high. The base bears the pictured "B & Co LIMOGES FRANCE" vintage mark. The piece is in excellent condition with no damage or noted wear. This elegant side bowl would make a fine addition to your retired Bernardaud Limoges Pak Hoi china service.
