Antique Hampshire Pottery JS Taft Bonbon Candy Plate

This is a wonde
rful find from a local estate sale!
A rare find of a James Taft Hampshire Pottery bonbon plate.
The gold edges and flecks are in very good condition,
the
re is
slight fading on the inside of the plate in some spots.
Crazing on the top is hard to spot unless looking closely.
The bottom has crazing which is noticeable with dark staining through parts of the crazing.
No chips, cracks or repairs on this lovely ruffled edge candy plate.
The bottom of the plate is marked in a red/maroon color

Hampshire Pottery began creating pottery
somewhere a
round the 1870's to 1917.
This style plate and coloring was made in the late 1890's to very early 1900's.
The bonbon plate has a cream color background with gold flecks and gold trim around the scalloped, ruffled edges.
There are 4 round,
green felt protecto
rs on the bottom.

12" x 6 3/4" x 1 3/4"
